SSO: the Zhang Renqing memorial concert went on sale at 12:20 today; Shanghai Concert Hall publishes Grosvenor's programme, and the Thomas recital starts at 17:30
One performance in the chamber hall on 26 September at 19:15, five tiers from ¥80 to ¥380, four tickets per order. Nineteen numbers, twelve singers, Tsung Yeh as artistic director. Full programmes also appeared for Benjamin Grosvenor on 3 October and for Camille Thomas and Julien Brocal on 11 October, whose curtain is 17:30.

In Memory of Professor Zhang Renqing, at the Shanghai Symphony Hall chamber auditorium on 26 September, went on sale at 12:20 today. One performance, 19:15. Five tiers at ¥380, 280, 180, 120 and 80, four tickets per order, through the orchestra's own box office and WeChat mini-program.
The programme runs to nineteen numbers in two halves. The first is Western opera and lieder: "Dein ist mein ganzes Herz" from Lehár's Das Land des Lächelns, "E lucevan le stelle" from Puccini's Tosca, "Nemico della patria" from Giordano's Andrea Chénier, "Una furtiva lagrima" from Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, "Je veux vivre" from Gounod's Roméo et Juliette, "Cortigiani, vil razza dannata" from Verdi's Rigoletto, the duet "Au fond du temple saint" from Bizet's Les pêcheurs de perles, "La calunnia" from Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Beethoven's song Andenken. The second half is Chinese vocal repertoire — two songs by Zhu Liangzhen and others by Li Yan, Jin Xijia, Zuo Yijian and Meng Qingyun, plus "Ten Miles of Wind and Snow" from The White-Haired Girl.
The twelve singers are Yang Xiaoyong, Xu Qi, Huang Xuan, Dai Jianwu, Xu Runtao, Ye Yong, Zhou Zhengzhong, Zhang Yan, Zheng Caokun, Dou Qianming, Tang Junyan and Zhu Qiongxue, with Li Weijie and Yu Jiewei at the piano and Liu Yilin presenting. The poster also names Tsung Yeh as artistic director, a credit the ticketing text does not carry. The presenter has not published Zhang Renqing's dates or years of teaching.
Shanghai Concert Hall: two recital programmes
Benjamin Grosvenor plays Mozart's Sonata in B-flat, K. 333, and Beethoven's Moonlight before the interval on 3 October, then Scriabin's Sonata No. 2 in G-sharp minor, Op. 19, Liszt's Sonetto 104 del Petrarca and Chopin's Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 35. The culture bureau's amended permit of 31 August recorded "one work added"; these five are what was published. The presenter says it is Grosvenor's only mainland Chinese date this year. Tickets ¥480 to ¥80.
Camille Thomas and Julien Brocal play the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria and Brahms's Cello Sonata No. 1 in E minor, Op. 38 on 11 October, then Chopin's Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 65, and Piazzolla's Le grand Tango.
That concert begins at 17:30. The permit says 15:30; the Shanghai Concert Hall's ticketing system has had the session at 17:30 throughout, and a ticket bought for it is a ticket for 17:30. The box office record is what counts.
December: Lisiecki
Jan Lisiecki plays the Shanghai Symphony Hall on 9 December under permit 沪文旅许[2026]4803号, promoted by Wu Promotion. No programme, prices or on-sale time yet, and the permit does not say which of the two halls. The same batch licensed Aniello Desiderio's classical guitar recital in the Shanghai Conservatory Opera House rehearsal hall on 6 December, and a National Day concert with He Zhanhao at the Shanghai Changtan Music Hall on 1 October. Neither has ticketing yet.
