2026-27 Season Check: 102 of 114 Concerts Match Official Channels
On August 4 we finished a pass over 114 concerts from mid-August 2026 to November 2027. 102 matched official channels, 5 productions are sold out, ticket status was added for 24. The 12 we could not confirm stay off the site.

On August 4 we finished a pass. 114 concerts from mid-August 2026 through November 2027, each checked against the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra website; the official APIs of the Oriental Art Center, Shanghai Concert Hall and Shanghai Grand Theatre; performance permits from the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism; and the Shanghai Grand Opera House mini-program and opening-season publications. 102 matched. 59 of those we re-checked live that day. Twelve could not be confirmed through official channels and stay on our internal watch list. They will not appear on this site until they do.
Five productions confirmed sold out
These were sold out on official channels on August 4. Returned tickets may reappear there. We update on each sweep.
- SSO season opening I (September 11, Long Yu and Leonidas Kavakos, Shostakovich 120th anniversary)
- Zhang Guoyong, Kavakos and the SSO play Mendelssohn (September 18)
- Teatro La Fenice, Tosca (October 22 and 24, both sold out)
- Mariinsky Opera, Aida (October 30 to November 1, all three sold out)
- Thielemann and the Staatsoper Berlin, Der Rosenkavalier (November 8, 10 and 12, all three sold out)
On the official mini-program, the October 24 evening concert in Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra's Shostakovich cycle (Symphony No. 7) is sold out. The other dates in that cycle are still on sale.
Ticket status added for 24 events
Three permit-confirmed recitals are on sale now. The Shanghai Rainbow Chamber Singers' Ode to Youth XII (August 29), Christian Blackshaw's piano recital (August 30) and Elisabeth Leonskaja's piano recital (October 11).
Twenty-one announced concerts are now marked "not yet on sale", including the Shanghai Grand Opera House opening concert, Yuja Wang with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Buchbinder's complete Beethoven piano concertos, Argerich and Friends, Víkingur Ólafsson's recital and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. We change the listing when an official on-sale date is published.
What we do not publish
Twelve listings we could not confirm, mostly Shanghai Philharmonic season dates, whose website offers no public listings, stay on the internal watch list and are re-checked on every sweep. All 86 confirmed event pages now carry a fresh "last verified" timestamp. The date on each event page is the date we last checked it against official channels.
