Mozart Chamber Music Week

Three chamber concerts take place in the Open Stage of the Shanghai Grand Opera House. According to the house, the series marks the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth. 1 November, A Night of Mozart Concertos: Johannes Meissl conducts Ensemble Les Amis Shanghai, with Tang Yun and Wu Shuting on violin and Li Cong on clarinet as soloists. The programme is Mozart throughout: the Concertone in C major for two violins, K. 190, and Eine kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525; the Clarinet Concerto in A major, K. 622 follows the interval. The house has printed two start times, 19:30 in its announcement and on the series poster, and 15:00 on the concert's own poster, and has not said which is right. The Motus Quartet plays on 5 November at 19:30. Mozart's String Quartet No. 19 in C major, K. 465 ("Dissonance") and Webern's slow movement for string quartet come before the interval; Brahms's String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 51 No. 2 follows it. 7 November at 15:00: the Han Quartet, with Lan Hancheng on viola and Li Cong on clarinet, plays Brahms's Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 115; Mozart's String Quintet in G minor, K. 516 follows the interval. According to the house, the programme may change.

Tickets for all three concerts went on sale at 13:00 on 29 September 2026. For 1 November the prices are 480, 380, 280 and 180 yuan. For 5 and 7 November they are 380, 280, 180 and 80 yuan. Sales run through the house's own WeChat mini-program (上海大歌剧院). The booking hotline is 400-026-1017.
