The Silk Road Story (2025 New Edition)
About the performance
First staged by the Gansu Song and Dance Theatre in 1979, The Silk Road Story draws its movement vocabulary straight from the Dunhuang murals; the backward-arched pipa pose everyone knows comes from this ballet. Two performances of the 2025 revision.
