Shanghai Concert Hall's New Year concert is on sale; the Grand Theatre's Strauss New Year concert is sold out

The Shanghai Concert Hall gives its own New Year's concert for 2027, played by the Vienna Johann Strauss Orchestra under Johannes Wildner. Two performances take place in the main hall on 31 December, at 19:00 and at 22:30; the second runs past midnight. All thirteen pieces come from the Strauss family, and five are by Josef Strauss, born in 1827, for his 200th anniversary. The Blue Danube closes the concert. Tickets are 180 to 1080 yuan in six bands, sold through the hall's WeChat mini-program 上海音乐厅. The hall's WeChat article of 14 October already reported them on sale; the date the sale opened was not found.

The Strauss New Year's concert at the Shanghai Grand Theatre, on the same night, is sold out. Tickets opened at 11:18 on 9 June and cost 180 to 1280 yuan. The theatre's ticketing system showed no tickets left on 17 October.

The Shanghai Zhiyin Orchestra performs a Beethoven show at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center on 13 December. The presenter says narration and staged scenes tell Beethoven's life, with excerpts from his works played in between; no conductor or soloist is named, and no arranger is credited. Tickets opened at 12:19 on 15 October, at 180 to 480 yuan in four bands, at most 6 tickets per performance.

Correction: the 19 August article on the Shanghai Grand Theatre's season said The Phantom of the Opera went on sale on 8 May and the Strauss New Year's concert on 8 June. The theatre's ticketing records give 11:00 on 11 May for Phantom's first wave and 11:18 on 9 June. That article no longer carries either date.
