Shanghai Grand Theatre: Jian Lai on 19 September and My Fierce Ignorant Step on 16–17 October are both selling

Both went on sale — on 24 and 28 August — while our pages still said the theatre had announced neither price nor sale time. We have also corrected the on-sale date for The Phantom of the Opera: the first wave was 11 May, not 25 August.

Spring's Last Wisp — The Jian Lai Animation Concert went on sale at 16:00 on 24 August. It plays twice on 19 September in the Shanghai Grand Theatre's main house, at 14:30 and 19:30, ticketed separately. Tickets run from 100 to 880 yuan, six per order, and the concert lasts about 120 minutes. The Hangzhou Philharmonic plays live under Hong Yin. The theatre has not published a programme.

We had been listing one performance that day, with no curtain time at all. The poster states both: 14:30 in the afternoon and 19:30 in the evening. Both are now on the page.

My Fierce Ignorant Step: ten dancers, two nights

Christos Papadopoulos: My Fierce Ignorant Step went on sale at 16:00 on 28 August. It plays on 16 and 17 October in the Drama Theatre at 19:30, about 60 minutes without an interval. Seven bands — 100, 180, 280, 380, 480, 580 and 680 yuan — plus a VIP band at 880, six per order.

The piece takes its material from the Greek epic vocal work Axion Esti, and is the first by this choreographer to leave natural imagery for the bonds between people. There is no heavy score: Kornilios Selamsis builds the sound from the dancers' own breath, humming and shouting, after the manner of a chorus in Greek tragedy. Part of the 25th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, presented within Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels.

We had been spelling the choreographer's name 帕帕佐普洛斯 in Chinese. The theatre, the poster and our own other artist record all read 帕帕多普洛斯. It has been corrected.

The Phantom on-sale date we had was three months late

The Phantom of the Opera: 40th Anniversary Shanghai Farewell Season runs to 102 performances, released in seven waves: six at 11:00 on 11 May, then 14 May, 20 May, 27 May, 14 June, 24 July, and the last sixteen at 11:00 on 25 August. We had published only the last of them.

Our definition of an on-sale moment is the first moment the public could buy anything, not the moment the most convenient product appears. By that definition this season opened on 11 May, and the six later waves are a footnote — they are all still in the ticketing notes.
