Spring's Last Wisp — The Swords Animation Concert
About the performance
The concert staging of the animated series Jian Lai, played twice on 19 September in the Shanghai Grand Theatre's main house. The Hangzhou Philharmonic plays live under Hong Yin, with Ren Dongsheng as artistic director, joined by dancers and the voice cast. The staging is built on ink-wash imagery and the narrative runs from Chen Ping'an's boyhood to the Sword Qi Great Wall. About 120 minutes. The theatre has not published a programme.
