Currentzis and musicAeterna in Shanghai on 14 and 15 October; Hadelich and Thibaudet sold out
The permit is issued and the hall has not announced tickets yet. Plus two concerts we were wrongly showing as on sale, and three that had been selling without us.

Teodor Currentzis and musicAeterna play two nights at Shanghai Symphony Hall, on 14 and 15 October, both at 19:30. We know because the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism issued the permit on 26 August — 沪文旅许[2026]4716号, two performances, 86 people travelling, promoted by Wu Promotion.
The hall's own ticketing system does not have it. Of 595 programmes listed there, nothing falls on 14 October, and 15 October holds only a chamber concert in the recital hall. So there are no prices, no on-sale time and no room yet. The permit says 上海交响乐团 and stops there — main hall or recital hall, it does not say, so neither do we.
Wu Promotion's own tour announcement of 7 August supplies the rest. The tour runs 11–19 October across Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, five concerts, two programmes. One is all Mozart — the Figaro overture, the Twenty-Third Piano Concerto K.488 with Eva Gevorgyan, the youngest finalist of the Eighteenth Chopin Competition, and the "Jupiter" Symphony. The other is all Beethoven — the Coriolan overture, the Fourth Symphony and the Seventh. Which one falls on which Shanghai night is not in the announcement. Five concerts are split across three cities; we are not going to guess.
Two concerts are sold out, and we had them wrong
Augustin Hadelich's recital on 22 September and Long Yu, Thibaudet and the SSO in Saint-Saëns on 20 December both read 已约满 — fully booked, nothing left — in the orchestra's ticketing system tonight.
Both pages here said "on sale" and offered a link to buy. That was wrong and is now fixed. The Hadelich was never an ordinary sale: it was a ballot, open from 13:00 on 28 August until noon on 29 August, and our page was still inviting people to enter it more than eight hours after it closed.
Three concerts had been selling without us
- Xiexin Dance Theatre, When the Mountains Weep, 22 and 23 October at the Oriental Opera Hall. The 22nd went on sale at 16:27 on 6 August, the 23rd at 16:46 on 27 August. Six bands from 180 to 680 yuan.
- Future Masters: the Amber Quartet with Wang Liya, 11 December at the Oriental Recital Hall, selling since 28 July. The Andante cantabile from Tchaikovsky's First Quartet, Schnittke's Third, Scriabin's Fantasie, then Shostakovich's G minor Piano Quintet.
- Future Masters: harp and saxophone duo, 13 December at the Oriental Recital Hall, selling since 17 August. Both are 80 to 300 yuan in four bands.
Martha Graham: the two nights are different programmes
SHOAC and the culture bureau both call this run 世纪传奇——玛莎·葛兰姆舞团100周年庆典巡演. We had been using a different name; it now matches the ticket. We have also added the sentence SHOAC prints in red at the top of its own page and we had never carried: 21 and 22 November are different programmes. On sale, five bands from 280 to 880 yuan.
We removed the running time from 69 pages
SHOAC's ticketing interface has a field called 演出最低时长 — minimum duration. We had been reading it as the duration and printing "about 90 minutes" on the page. It is a floor, not a measurement: of the 78 productions SHOAC currently sells, 56 carry exactly 90 in that field — recitals, symphony concerts, musicals and full-length ballets alike.
Our own pages were the proof. Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and La Bayadère all read "about 90 minutes", and La Bayadère alone runs past three hours. The number is now gone from all 69 pages. Better a blank than a wrong one; where a presenter publishes a real running time, we will put it back.
