Alexandre Kantorow Piano Recital

Alexandre Kantorow gives a solo piano recital in the main hall of the Shanghai Concert Hall. The hall gives the concert the title 超越之境. The hall says it is his only solo recital in mainland China this year. Bach/Liszt, Variations on "Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen", S. 180, opens the first half, followed by Medtner's Piano Sonata in F minor, Op. 5. After the interval: Chopin's Prelude in C-sharp minor, Op. 45; Alkan's "La chanson de la folle au bord de la mer", Op. 31 No. 8; Scriabin's Vers la flamme, Op. 72; and Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor, Op. 111.
