Zimerman Tours Shenzhen, Wuxi, Tianjin and Xi'an in November: No Shanghai Date
Wuxi Symphony Hall published Krystian Zimerman's November tour: five concerts in Shenzhen, Wuxi, Tianjin and Xi'an. No Shanghai date.

Wuxi Symphony Hall posted on its official WeChat account that Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman will tour China again in November 2026.
Four cities, five concerts
The published schedule:
- November 5 · Shenzhen Concert Hall
- November 8, 19:30 · Wuxi Symphony Hall
- November 11 · Tianjin Grand Theatre Concert Hall
- November 13-14 · Xi'an Concert Hall (two performances)
Wuxi is confirmed at 19:30. Start times for the other halls have not been published. Xi'an has two nights, which makes five concerts in four cities.
Why this tour is uncommon
Zimerman won the Chopin International Piano Competition in 1975. He plays in public rarely. Since 1989 he has performed only on his own piano, which travels with him and which he tunes himself. He has not signed a record-company album contract in years.
He has worked with 142 conductors, including Karajan, Bernstein, Abbado, Boulez, Haitink and Rattle. His Chopin piano concerto recordings on Deutsche Grammophon were the first classical album to go quadruple platinum.
Shanghai
As of publication this tour does not include Shanghai. He is particular about hall acoustics, and his city lists have never followed a standard touring circuit. If a Shanghai date appears, we will update.
The programme has not been published. Wuxi currently reads "on sale soon." Sale status in the other cities is unconfirmed.

Dmitri Alexeev's recital on November 1 at Shanghai Concert Hall, and Buchbinder's Beethoven piano concertos with Staatskapelle Berlin on November 7 and 9 at Shanghai Grand Opera House.
