Lang Lang Piano Recital, Shanghai

One Shanghai date on Lang Lang's China tour, solo throughout. The programme opens with Mozart's D major Rondo K. 485, takes in Beethoven's Op. 13 "Pathétique" and Op. 110, then turns to Spain and Liszt: Albéniz's Suite española, the nightingale piece from Granados's Goyescas, and finally the Second Consolation and the Tarantella from Venezia e Napoli. No interval or running time has been published. The room is the 2,500-seat Grand Theatre at BOCOM New Bund 31, a multipurpose house built for musicals and amplified work, where the reverberation is generated by a Meyer Sound Constellation electronic acoustic system. Nine price bands run from ¥380 to ¥2,680, and tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
