Dresden String Quintet

The Dresden String Quintet plays the main hall of the Shanghai Concert Hall, presented under the hall's title 首席之声 (Voices of the principals). The hall says four of the five members are current principals or associate principals of the Staatskapelle Dresden. On violin are Federico Kasik and Lukas Stepp, on viola Holger Grohs, and on cello Tom Höhnerbach and Teresa Beldi. Stepp and Beldi open the first half with Halvorsen's Passacaglia after Handel, then Kasik, Grohs and Beldi play Beethoven's String Trio in C minor, Op. 9 No. 3. All five play Schubert's String Quintet in C major, D. 956 after the interval. The hall notes that the players and programme may change.
