About the performance
The sitar player and composer Anoushka Shankar brings a quartet to Shanghai, drawing on her recent trilogy of mini-albums and earlier work. With her are Arun Ghosh on clarinet and keys, Tom Farmer on double bass and Sarathy Korwar on drums and percussion. She learned the instrument from her father, Ravi Shankar, and writes across Indian classical music, jazz and electronics.
