Life
A cellist and composer, born in Moscow in 1946 and resident in Finland from 1990. At the Moscow Conservatory she studied cello with Rostropovich and composition with Kabalevsky. Her First Suite for solo cello was set as a required piece at the seventh Tchaikovsky Competition in 1982. Her output centres on the cello and includes three concertos and several suites.
