Fan Tao

A Chinese first-class conductor. Resident conductor of the China Radio Film Symphony Orchestra since 1995, and now artistic director of the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, music director and principal conductor of the Changsha Symphony Orchestra and music director of the Changying Orchestra. He studied composition and conducting at the Shanghai Conservatory with Huang Xiaotong, Zhang Guoyong, Phillip Spurgeon and Esa-Pekka Salonen, took a jury special prize at the second Sibelius International Conductors' Competition in 2000, and was a guest conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine from 2014 to 2020.
