Estonian Festival Orchestra

Founded by Paavo Järvi at the Pärnu Music Festival in 2011 as its resident orchestra, with every player invited by him personally — half Estonian, half drawn from leading European orchestras — assembling each summer in Pärnu to rehearse and perform. In 2018 it became the first Estonian ensemble to play the BBC Proms; in 2025 it made its North American debut at Carnegie Hall, headlining the hall's ninetieth-birthday tribute to Arvo Pärt.
