Antonio Pappano

Biography

Born in London in 1959, Antonio Pappano was Music Director of the Royal Opera House from 2002 to 2024 and became Chief Conductor of the London Symphony Orchestra in 2024. He works across opera and symphonic repertoire, and often appears as a pianist in chamber music.
