Key facts:
- Neutral index, not a ticket seller. Ticket links point to official providers. No paid inclusion or ranking.
- Primary source is the legal record: any commercial performance in Shanghai involving artists from outside the mainland requires prior approval from 上海市文化和旅游局 (Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism), which publishes each 营业性演出准予许可决定. Permits are issued before tickets go on sale, and revocations (注销) appear there before venues update their own sites. Domestic-only performances are filed rather than licensed, so they carry no permit.
- Secondary sources are official venue and orchestra channels (Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Cadillac Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Grand Opera House), structured and reviewed by a human before publish.
- Where a permit exists, the event page prints its permit number, the issuing authority, the issue date and a link to the bureau document — and emits the same as a schema.org identifier.
- Empty beats guessed: unpublished dates, times and prices are left blank rather than inferred.
- Every event page shows when the data was last checked.
- Ticket timing is modeled precisely: presale bundle windows and single-ticket on-sale moments, with exact times (Asia/Shanghai, UTC+8).
- Bilingual: Chinese (default) at /, English under /en/.
